we were off to do a bit of shopping,
Friendship first for some lettuce,
we then stopped at one of the open air markets,
we were a little bit early as some of the stalls had not yet opened,
the strange thing is that whilst this type of market sells pretty much everything, both cooked,
and still live jumping fresh,
the one thing that we seldom see here is fresh lettuce, plenty of prawns though,
all of those vegetables and not a lettuce amongst them,
the rambutan season has now started in earnest,
with fruits piled high,
and of course plenty of coconuts,
we decided to buy some mango's for a slushy later in the evening,
three will do nicely,
we must have been early, only a few fish ready to go,
also for later and tomorrow a melon,
and some pineapple,
if you have ever eaten a Chinese dish with bamboo shoots in it this is what they look like before cooking,
and this is them cooked,
more fresh coconuts singly or you can buy them by the bunch,
we then stopped as we noticed this mobile stall, selling garlands, pineapples and bananas amongst other things,
later in the afternoon Mark called round for a coffee and a chat, after he left we had our evening meal, egg salad for myself and home made spring rolls for Diana, a bit of television for early evening then we settled down to another Waking the Dead, Mask of Sanity, after spending 20 years in a psychiatric institution James Jensen has been released, he admits he killed three people but can not remember the act, so did he do it? another enjoyable (if that is the right word) episode, then early in the morning we were off to bed.
