for our shopping,
we always take the truck as we stock up on essentials,
big things that we cannot easily take on the bike like drinks, three cases of soda, two of coke zero, five liters of floor cleaner and three large boxes of red wine, as Eddie from Bottom would say, 'a winning combination!'
next stop pay the Internet bill,
then it was time for our evening out, Diana used the pull hair through the loop thingy,
a quick self portrait,
then we were off to Cherry's on Third Road, just opposite what was the X-Cite disco,
salad to start,
next some of the starters and no I will not do the one about 'I ate 12 oysters last night, but only 10 of them worked!'
although the plates looked less than full, they were topped up all evening long,
in fact the selection was so nice,
we went back for another helping,
after a break then on to the main courses,
I was still on the starters,
the bar-b-q/carvery chef, always a huge range of meats to chose from,
Diana was waiting for one of the kebabs,
there is also a huge selection of vegetables,
and nearly 20 main courses,
'Ah!'
'Cheers!' from all of us,
then on to the desserts,
so many to choose from, all so tempting,
Diana went for a sort of tiramisu in a glass,
I went a little strange with a raspberry delight, well it was Diana's fault as she said I should make a face,
Mr. Tony settled on a creme caramel, after desert we finished with a few teas or coffees,
busy though they were these are the two waiters that look after us most times we are here,
the restaurant is divided into two sections,
if you walk in from Third Road, in the quiet season this first part will be empty,
it is only used in the busy season,
it has its own bar,
and staff, but you have to walk through to the rear of the building for the buffet if you sit here, once again a great meal for a very reasonable price, all you can eat for just 350 baht, if anyone can find a better deal in town please let us know!
on the way back we were behind this coach with a illuminated engine bay, then back to 388, feet up for a DVD, tonight's choice was,
The Dictator, a genuinely funny and thought provoking film, it pulled no punches as its wry and witty script unfolded, also so utterly un PC, with lines like, 'I love it when women go to school, it's like seeing a monkey on rollerskates, it means nothing to them, but it's so adorable for us', by now it was late so we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony and for us we were off to bed.
