it is on Friday, October 31st. by the way,
and it appears it is gaining a following in many other countries,
whereas in my youth it seemed to be just an American tradition, anyway, what
better way to greet your Halloween house guest with than a dead crow wreath on your
front door? many of us have wreath
forms lying around in storage, just waiting for Christmas time to roll around
again, but why only have a wreath for Christmas? best of all, it's
pretty easy to put together, just attach moss to the wreath with wire then
arrange your dead crows according to your preferences and use hot glue to
secure them, you can find a template for the banner over at Live Craft Love and once you've put that together, just glue that on
across the front, for full instructions and where to buy dead crows, no not real ones! have a look here, spooky!
but remember if you live
in Bonnyville, Canada, the 1929 curfew is still in place, the curfew
has become a problem for some parents, like Joe House, he says it doesn't leave
enough time for him to get home from his oil patch job, get his kids into
costume, and start trick-or-treating, “You've got Christmas, Halloween is
the other big one and the kids aren't even excited about it living here,” said
House, “The rigs shut down around 6, 6:30 … so you're not getting home
until 7:15, 7:30 and the kids are already in the house, Halloween's
over.” Bonnyville mayor Gene Sobolewski said he
was against changing the current curfew, "I've been inundated
with phone calls of support not to change, particularly from the seniors in our
community. " so there it is.
