I Had Heard Of The Phrase Before,

but I was not 100% sure I knew exactly what it meant,

hoity-toity, so I looked it up,

the origin of the word is rhyming compound from English dialect hoit to play the fool, first known use in 1668, the definition is thoughtless, giddy behavior and in use as an adjective having or showing the insulting attitude of people who think that they are better, smarter, or more important than other people, in America also highfalutin could be used meaning seeming or trying to seem great or important, so now I know.
