After We Bought Our Krathong,

we made our way down to the beach,

Diana all smiles,

to the waters edge,

then candle lit, shoes off,

and in our Krathong goes,

wishes made and we were on our way,

I am guessing but I think you could buy this boat at a discounted price,

in the distance one lantern stood out from the rest,

it seemed to have a firework or similar attached to it making it extra bright,

there were many more people on the beach here,

watching their Krathongs going out to sea,

as we watched lanterns in the sky,

we stopped off at the bar at the beginning of Bali Hai pier, watching people go past and lanterns being released,

up, up,

and away,

we decided to make a move for home, it was getting late, we went past the new building on the square before the pier,

I am not sure what it is going to be,

past some of the discos,

and into the street,

I am not so keen on cold coconuts, but a cold beer, well that would be nice!

by now the whole street was in party mode,

as revellers,

made their way to the pier to launch their Krathongs,

meanwhile we made our way back along the street,

past Tony's,

and lots of other bars,

where the boys and girls were having a party,

the Marine bar was crowded,

there are so many places to go to for a cold beer,

but we resisted as we made our way past new,

and well known places,

another new one to us,

as was this one,

the 808,

we made our way up Soi Diamond,

where the street then gets narrow,

past Spankys,

and this was where we were going,

we both felt a little peckish,

so a chicken leg for me and some frankfurters for Diana,

whilst waiting for them to be cooked I took a couple of pictures of Second Road,

it seemed quiet,

until this jeep came along, the owner was playing one of the many up beat Loi Krathong songs, great fun,

next motorbike taxis and home,

naturally the ride home turned into a race, which Diana's driver won, well mine had a weight handicap!

home, feet up, chicken and a glass of wine, what better way to round off the evening? we watched 1 episode of A Touch of Frost, then for us we were off to bed.
