we were off to the beach,
into the back of a baht bus, he good news was that it was the same price as last year, 50 baht each,
and this was where we were going, Lay Lay Tong, it the name of a seafood restaurant, but we use the name to describe where the beach is,
getting out of the taxi a quick walk,
to the beach and we are there,
we almost had the beach to ourselves,
so out with the books and headphones,
Maureen asked one of the beach vendors to call over,
deal done,
and the vendor was on her way,
two more vendors in the distance, I think they outnumbered the tourists on the beach at this time of the day,
and here I am busy completing yesterdays post,
behind the deck chairs is the seating area for dinners,,
and of course the bar itself,
which is named the Palm Beach Restaurant,
beers all round and relax for the day,
a small video of us,
Diana is not very keen on dogs, so naturally out of all of the chairs to chose from one dog sat under Diana's chair, the other next to it,
but not to worry as we decided to have lunch, a fruit punch for Diana,
which Diana said was nice, beers for Nick and Maureen and a glass of wine for myself,
chicken pad Thai for Diana and Maureen, pork pad Thai for Nick,
prawn tempura for myself,
'Cheers!',
from all of us,
we had a lovely day on the beach, then back to Paddy's Palms,
where some work was being done on the outside seating area,
and sign,
after a shower and a change,
we meet up with Nick and Maureen,
for a walk into town,
there are so many shops to look at like this art one, which makes oil paintings to order,
and of course coffee shops,
and bars like this one,
which looked really neat as the sign changed colour,
we continued our walk,
past one of the many clothes shops,
and one of the hotels shrines,
and street stalls, this one selling soft drinks,
we then cut through the Sea Bar as before to eat a seafood meal,
the place was absolutely packed with just 2 spare tables out of I guess 40 or so,
so it was time to chose the food,
and get it cooked,
the chef was working flat out,
we carried on pursing the menu,
some of our courses arrived, green mussels,
spareribs,
a barracuda,
with pork on sticks,
plus garlic prawns, baked potatoes and garlic bread,
meal over we made our way back through the covered part of the restaurant,
and ended up back at Paddy's Palms,
where Nick and myself had a championship game of table football,
the game was fast and furious, finally ending with a small victory for me at 3 games to 2,
next upstairs for a game of pool,
which to be fair Nick should have won as at one stage he was 4 balls ahead, but luck not skill was on my side, after a night cap we were then all off to bed.
