Great News From The Philippines,

furniture has started to arrive,

Mum as happy as ever,

all set for the lounge,

and dinning room,

outside, below her balcony,

and the front of the house,

back to the UK, a read and a sherry before lunch,

for our starters some pancake rolls,

followed by a gammon ham,

eyes down and tuck in,

for dessert a fresh fruit salad,

after our lunch Steve and Kai called round, he has one aquarium where the fish are really shy, they just never leave the planted section, so I gave him a few of my Endlers guppies, (Poecilia wingei), in the hope that they not being shy in the least would make the angel fish that he has come out of hiding,

and it worked! just having the guppies in the bag brought the angel fish out of hiding, so now at last Steve and Kai will be able to see them, after Steve and Kai left,

in the evening we watched a ventriloquist who I have to say are not normally my favourite act, but Jeff Dunham changes all of that, so a Spark of Insanity it was then, what a great show, Walter and Achmed the Dead Terrorist being my favourite characters,

above "Walter's Wisdom: The joys of marriage" from the show Arguing with Myself,

above "Meet Achmed the Dead Terrorist" from the show Spark of Insanity, we have a number of his DVDs which are all so funny, as it happens I have just looked up the fact that Achmed the Dead Terrorist has notched up 16m views on YouTube, Jeff tours the world with his show, encompassing five continents and 12 countries, including Iceland, Finland, Norway, Ireland, Britain, Israel, South Africa, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. but Achmed the Dead Terrorist is not always welcome, “Malaysia banned Achmed,” he reports. “He wasn’t even allowed to come on stage, and I was prohibited from even mentioning his name or making any sort of religious references.” Dunham cleverly side-stepped the issue by introducing a new character; “Who knew that Achmed had a French cousin — Jacques, the dead French terrorist?” he says. “It was Achmed with a beret and mustache, and the audience loved it, thankfully. But I was a bit frightened there, too", if you get a chance to see one of the shows on Netflix or similar, go for it!

we rounded off the evening with Riddick, the third in the series, after which we were off to bed.
