We Were Having A Quiet Saturday,

but a phone call changed that, Brian who we have not seen for some time called and invited us out for a meal with his wife Sa and Juu, which was a pleasant way to start the day,
as soon as we arrived the food was ordered, we have eaten here with Brian, Sa and Juu before, as expected the food was delicious,
the restaurant was in the style of 'Thai rustic', in the many times we have been here I do not think we have ever seen another foreigner eat there,
we had a few beers as well! the food was as good as ever, the problem is I did not know the name of the restaurant, but if you know the Eden hotel go past it on your right, then past the Punch and Judy on your left, in a couple of hundred meters the road takes a very sharp right, on that bend take a left down the small soi there, go round a couple of sharp bends and the restaurant is on the right, a few items of decoration as you walk in,
the view from the road, look out for the yellow sea plane on the roof of the place next door,
yes I did say sea plane, (well a big model of one),
beneath the plane there is a small glass fronted shop with a couple of old motorbikes in it,
it later transpired it was Brian's birthday so he very kindly treated us all to the meal, next stop a look at the new home he is buying, he and Sa bought the empty shell and are fitting it out, but as all things out here it has not been easy going, he wanted to get all of the dusty work out of the way first then take delivery of the sofa's, beds etc, no prizes for guessing that the furnishings arrived before the construction work was finished,
then over to Juu's place for a couple of beers, in one of the pools his catfish are getting quiet a size,
also there are plenty of flowers now giving their best as the rainy season continues,
a bit difficult to see but the Arapaima gigas that Juu has are still getting bigger!
much to the delight of all,
then Sa cooks some food,
with a few more beers,
did I mention more beers?
then 'Cheers!' from all of us, not a double chin in sight!
as we were going past the Punch and Judy we decided to call in and reserve a table for our Sunday lunch as there would be 5 of us dining, as luck would have it Kop, Jamie's wife was there and joined us for a drink,
'Cheers!',
we rounded off a very nice morning/afternoon/evening there, strange I only said to Diana a few moments before Brian called that we were going to have a quiet day today! back to outside the Punch and Judy I noticed this paint job on a bike,
no prizes for guessing what the owners favorite tipple is! then for us home and after all of that excitement off to bed.
