During The Day I Played Around With My Stamps,

also I popped over to see Slim Jim,

late in the afternoon Phil called over for a tea and a chat, then off to the night market, this is the smaller of the two shrines there,

we were a bit early, some of the stalls had not yet set up,

we had a bit of rain for a few minuets in the afternoon, the sky was full of cloud in the evening,

a strange combination, steamed peanuts, water, coke and a strawberry drink,

opposite the bar the second hand clothes stall was back,

the bad news was the huge speakers beside it, so much for a quiet drink,

I started my walk around the market and spotted one of my favourite fruits,

I have found out what they are called, Marian plums, their season is from March to September, so I guess that is why they are a bit expensive as these are the first of the season,

in the pet section a local cat took a fancy to the grass in pots,

by the time it had finished there was damage to each pot!

sunset over the market,

 more oranges and plums here,

grilled salted fish ready to go,

and slushies as well,

just chose the pot that has the combination of fruit you like,

ice is added and the drink prepared,

as I sat at the bar more rainclouds started to arrive,

as did Diana with some Marina plums, in Thai Ma-prang, also some strawberries,

then the rain started,

it was a mad dash for cover,

as it got worse,

and worse,

and worse, by now we were both completely soaked to the skin, the wind blowing the rain into the bar from almost all points of the compass, eventually it slacked off so we made a move home, but it was difficult going as so many drains in the roads had water coming up from them rather than the water going down into them!

after a hot shower and our evening meal we were off to The Island, one of the films that were on offer on BluRay, the film so clear, the car chase special effects so good when the hero sends train axles from the back of a lorry towards pursuing cars, Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a seemingly Utopian but contained facility in the year 2019, but he and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones, destine to died as replacement parts for their sponsors, the escape and chase is on,

when a wealthy Realtor is accused of raping a prostitute, Haller, The Lincoln Lawyer, is asked to defend him, but when Haller looks at the evidence against him, he learns that this case might be linked to an old case of his, some one is being set but who and by whom? an interesting and gripping film,

I remember watching the first series of Upstairs Downstairs in the early to mid 1970s, but this is the new series aired in 2010, it is 1936 and we are back at 165 Eaton Place, formerly the home of the Bellamy family but vacant for several years, the 1930s are a difficult time in England, as the new staff begin their daily work, the downstairs family begins to take shape, we both enjoyed the first in the series so much we watched the next two, with that we were off to bed.
