I have to do my 90 day check in,
as usual I forgot to photostat my passport, so next door to the booth there, outside they had a nice water feature,
with two or three different happenings,
there were only a few people in the que and in no time we were out to Soi 5,
the condominium next to the immigration centre now finished and units up for sale or rent,
then to Diana's favourite restaurant for spaghetti bolognese, the Surf Kitchen on Jomtien Beach Road,
another nice water feature,
breakfast is served,
spaghetti bolognese for Diana, prawn cocktail for me,
Phil has just arrived from the UK so we popped up to the Punch & Judy for lunch, who was outside with another student? none other than Steve Burton MD of Easytec Diving, (on the right),
inside Phil had the fish and chips, having eaten earlier I settled for a beer,
in the afternoon Phil called in for a tea and a chat, then it was glad rags on as we were going out for a romantic meal for two at the Bordeaux restaurant in the TukCom complex,
it was going to be our Valentine evening meal, a day late to avoid the rush, we arrived there but guess what? it closes on Wednesdays, 'aways have a plan B Dave' quote from Rare Birds,
so decision made we walked down to Walking Street,
it was still very early so there were not many people about,
parked in the street was the Ford Galaxie 500 we had seen before, it was up for sale,
the V8 sounded so nice as it rumbled by,
we had decided to eat at La Notte, we had eaten there a few years ago and remembered how nice it was,
inside it looked as Richard "Richie" Richard from Bottom would say, 'a posh swanky place' in the nicest possible way,
Diana started with an orange juice,
I had a wine,
the starters arrived,
lobster bisque soup for Diana, parma ham with olives and capers for myself,
'Cheers!',
next the main course,
for myself chateaubriand steak, topped with foie gras and vegetables on the side,
for Diana chicken with potatoes and cheese with a delicious sauce and vegetables,
at the back of the restaurant the kitchen is in view, although it did not look big we both could not finish our main courses, the food was superb, the service faultless the ambiance could not have been better, the cost including a half litre of wine was 2,400, with that we left for home,
I always take a picture of this bar if we pass it, it is always open but we rarely see a customer inside,
a street happening,
I have scanned the card from La Notte, but note to graphic designers, whilst a gold on black card looks nice,
they do not scan very well,
we were also given a Le Clair De Lune card,
with map on the back, as it is a part of the same group,
as is the Windy Inn, on the same side of Walking Street,
just a little further along,
then home feet up for Garrow's Law, it is a television mini series set in the Old Baily in the late 18th century, but based on William Garrow, He introduced the phrase "innocent until proven guilty", insisting that defendants' accusers and their evidence be thoroughly tested in court, we watched the first DVD and we were more than impressed with the production,
then another couple from L. A. Law, great series, then for us off to bed.
