just as I was about to publish it,
my computer thought about it and decided to take a rest and delete all of it, a classic case of 'the computer says no', then when I did publish it I put it in the wrong order, any way on to today, Alex called in for a chat and a coffee, also Mark called by just missing Philip who had arrived from the UK,
all to soon it was time for glad rags on and out for our evening meal, Diana looking as lovely as ever,
tonight we were out to the China Garden, in Soi Lengkee,
after prawn crackers we chose the selection of starters for two which we all shared,
satay chicken, ribs, pancake roll and prawns on toast, with a mixture of three different sauces,
I love the attention to detail, the way decorations are presented with the meal,
whilst waiting for the next course, chicken and sweetcorn soup, you have plenty of time to watch your meal being prepared in the kitchen at the end of the restaurant,
after a long break, (we always have a long break between courses), we had Peking duck with pancakes,
then a surprise, just before we ordered our main course Harvey called in,
we let Diana order the food, this time chicken balls with a sweet and sour sauce, special chow mien, Chinese mixed curry and some vegetable dishes,
I forgot to mention some white rice as well,
Harvey also had a vegetable curry, and a few other dishes, we all tucked in, it was delicious,
just before we left it started to rain, so it was a mad dash to the car,
looking along the street it had been raining for some time,
the China Garden looking through the rain, great meal, give it a try if you are in the area,
then back to 388 to watch a movie, then quick as a flash it was 01.30 in the morning, we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony, then the heavens really opened up,
the rain was really crashing down,
we watched The New World as I mentioned before it is beautifully filmed, but at over 3 hours long could have been cut to keep up ones interest, Captain Smith is spared his mutinous hanging sentence after captain Newport's ship arrives in 1607 to found Jamestown, an English colony in Virginia, the initially friendly natives, who have no personal property concept, turn hostile after a 'theft' is 'punished' violently on the spot, during an armed exploration, Smith is captured, but spared when the chief's favourite daughter Pocahontas pleads for the stranger who soon becomes her lover and learns to love their naive 'savage' way of harmonious life, as a aside Pocahontas visited the UK, but died there and was buried at Gravesend in Kent, then for us we were off to bed.
