this week the Punch & Judy,
Diana was wearing one of her new tops,
and very nice it looks too,
after starters of liver pate which we shared, Mr. Tony who had joined is decided on a prawn cocktail, which looked delicious, the prawns were huge, for our main courses Diana decided on some Thai food,
whilst I settled on the lamb Sunday roast, 'Cheers!',
Mr. Tony went for the shepherd's pie,
just as we were ordering our main courses Phil called in so he joined us as well,
eyes down and get tuck in!
before our dessert I noticed some workers putting a cable up, so I had to take a few shots,
two guys hold the ladder,
whilst a third makes his way along the cables using them like a high wire,
it is a bit difficult to see what is happening, but if you look carefully there is a cable tied to his waist,
the crew are routing a new television/phone cable,
along to the next electric pylon,
as they make their way along the road, notice the health & safety flip-flops!
we then had apple crumble and custard for dessert, by now it was quite late, we always take our time when we eat out, next stop 388, feet up to watch a few movies,
first a comedy, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, great for me as he is house sitting for a guy who has a nice aquarium, till he wrecks it when the owner is away, needing some quick money to repair it the only way he can make it is to become a gigolo himself, he encounters a couple of problems, though, but is all turns out well in the end, a good comedy,
next in a much more serious vein, Event Horizon, we had watched it before a long time ago, but we decided to watch it again, a science fiction/horror movie, just enough thrills to make you jump, it is the story of a disappearing space ship that reappears with some thing on board that the rescue mission have to face,
we then decided to watch a pop concert, The Who: Live in Boston, I had bought this some time ago and was looking forward to watching it, the shame was that Pete Townshend descended into a foul mouth tirade against the audience calling them a number of very unpleasant four letter words, if he had a point it was lost in his rant, the first half of the show apart from that was quiet good, but after then the notes were there from the band but the voices missed them, which was a shame as I essentially like The Who, but I wish I had not bought this DVD of them,
Mr. Tony then left for home so we settled down to watch another one from Waking the Dead, this one titled Subterraneans, the team discover two corpses in a locked underground cellar, one murdered the other committed suicide, but what links them and who did it? then for us we were off to bed.

Talking of 'The Who', do you remember in their heyday, when they played at The Valley (home of Charlton Athletic Football Club)- Your old stomping ground of South East London.
In those days the lead singer, Roger Daltrey, used to swing the microphone lead around above his head, getting higher & higher, and used to catch it .. Great Days.
