This Is One Of Those Moments,

when someone says 'Opps!',

renovation works to restore the Chateau de Bellevue belonging to Dmitry Stroskin, a Russian businessman to its former baroque glory began last month, as a part of the project a building permit for renovation was issued in June 2011, it simply authorised the demolition of some of the outbuildings,

so bring on the demolition team, but it appears they were confused, they demolished the entire chateau which once boasted a 200-capacity grand hall and sweeping stone staircase to the site that you see above, Dmitry who runs a logistics company in Warsaw, Poland, has vowed to construct an exact replica of the 140,000-square-foot chateau – originally built by a wealthy Bordeaux family – with a Parisian architect, 'I will rebuild Bellevue identically', He has now reportedly signed a €1.5million (£1.2m) contract with a local masonry company which will provide stone to rebuild the castle,

local mayor Claude Carty, 69, blasted the blundering building firm and has launched an investigation, He said: 'they demolished an 18th-century castle like a garden shed', a formal planning complaint has been issued against the construction firm, the mayor added, I wonder if the firm involved was insured?
