but first a trip over to see Nick and Maureen,
and drop off the turkey, we are spending Christmas with them as Diana is here for Christmas this year,
the result was we ended up with two Big Cat blankets, it does get a bit cold out here some nights, two bathroom robes, a bed sheet to go over the mattress with two pillow covers and two bathroom towels, like the ones you have in hotels, all fluffy and some how thick, all of that came in at 4,080 baht, I do not know if that is cheap or not, but in any event we thought it was OK,
so after dropping those off home it was off to Tesco and then to the market, as we had been away we did not have any salad in the fridge for tonights meal,
we still had plenty of sausages,
but we did buy some pineapples to snack on later, but these were a bit cheaper than the £10,000 one that is going to be given away featured here,
I stayed on the bike as I had the shopping from Tesco to look after, Diana soon returned laden down with goodies,
to round off the evening a couple of episodes from Colditz, in these two the famous 'Colditz Cock' was built, a prisoner noticed that a roof space could not be seen by the guards, who in any event were looking for tunnels so a glider was designed and built to fly two prisoners to freedom, but the arrival of liberating American troops meant it never flew, but it was an audacious plan, the glider was 20 feet long and with a wing-span of 34 feet and was going to be launched off a makeshift runway built by a group of PoWs at the end of the Second World War, back then, toiling behind a false wall in the castle attic, 16 prisoners had spent 18 months building a glider, strangely enough a true story, with that for us it was late so we were off to bed.
