in the morning,
we had been left a pink card to say a package was waiting for us, so we called in at the Chaiyapruk post office which is on the Sumkivitt Road and this is what we picked up,
a box of 30 Twiglets, all the way from the sunny UK, a favourite watching television snack, I said there were 30, actually there were 27 in the box, where had the other 3 packs disappeared to? well your guess is as good as mine, so all duties paid and we were on our way home,
where we noticed a couple of the cactus had flowered,
this is the second flower this one has had in as many weeks,
one of the moon cactus also had a flower, unfortunately when we arrived it was in the shade,
but it still looked nice though,
the amaryllis also had a flower or two,
we watched some television in the afternoon and brought our Twiglet box total down to 25, then we were off to Cherry's for our evening meal,
Mr. Tony very kindly gave us a lift there, so on with the salad and starters,
eyes down and tuck in,
'Cheers!', from all of us,
on to the main courses,
for Mr. Tony, baked salmon and spinach,
Diana went for the beef stew, baked salmon and spinach,
I chose a selection of osso buco, chicken curry, baked salmon and mixed rice,
after a long break the desserts and what a selection,
creme caramel was my choice,
notice how Diana pushed her plate close to mine to make it look as if I had two desserts, as if I would!
we rounded off the meal with coffees, I as usual had a latte coffee, Cherry's is situated on Third Road opposite what was once the X-Cite disco, Telephone +66 (0)38 05 24 30, the meal we had tonight was the all you can eat International buffet which is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays for 399 baht each,
in the afternoon we had watched a fun movie, Flash Gordon, bringing back boyhood memories of Ming the Merciless, great fun,
when we arrived back home we watched a couple from Red Dwarf
with Mr. Tony who also appreciates the humour of the show, after saying our
goodbyes we settled down for another couple of episodes then we were off to
bed.
