that Zebras have stripes,
to make them more difficult for predators to see and catch,
but the latest thinking is that it is not the case, it appears that humans were
able to capture striped targets more easily than those coloured a uniform
grey, the study’s
author Anna Hughes, from Cambridge University, said, 'there was this idea
that the stripes might act to confuse a potential predator making difficult to
track it accurately so that maybe you won't be able to track it, what we've found in this study is that stripes are not the worst pattern you can have but
they are not necessarily better than plain gray, they also don't have an extra
benefit in groups which is what people have assumed', but I wonder if seen
through the eyes of a lion would the lion see the image of
the zebra the same as us? just a thought.
