As So Many Of The Christmas Lights Had Failed,

we were out on a mission to buy some more,

our first choice was Big C on the Sumkivitt Road, but we stopped off first at a garden centre between Thepprasit and Pattaya Tai,

although it was nearly midday most of the stalls were closed, but in truth there was not much to look at in any event,

so into Big C we went,

and out again, we had more Christmas lights than they had! next stop Friendship, not a single Christmas light in stock,

so on to TukCom, downstairs to firstly Topps where they had a choice of one at 499 baht, we left them there and into Amorn where there was a choice of LED sets but none of the single small lights we were looking for,

next stop Tesco Lotus, we had no idea that finding a set of Christmas lights would be so difficult,

whilst in Tesco Diana mention what would I look like with hair,

 now she knows!

and we had success, three strings of lights at 49 baht each and we were on our way home with a ice coffee and tea to go,

then it was time for Diana to put up the lights,

and as darkness fell nice they looked too,

we (Diana) had a look in the freezer and decided on a Indian meal which we ate outside in the light of the lights,

a perfect way to round off the day,

and for dessert a few chocolate liquors,

 from Duc d'O,

oh the agony of choice! we spent the rest of the evening listening to music,

every week or so I add a few more titles to our collection, for this week we started the evening with these,

a real goldie oldie, Adam Faiths backing group the Rouletts, if you listen closely it has the same scratches on the vinyl that my copy had!

another rave from the grave Country Joe and the Fish, here I go again, the group disbanded in 1970,

anther another so 1960s song, Eloise, written by Paul Ryan who's twin brother Barry performed it, at the age of 16 in 1965 they signed a recording contract with Decca under the name of Paul & Barry Ryan, within two years they had amassed 8 Top 50 singles in the UK, this my favourite of theirs, it sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc,

moving on to the 1980s Bad Manners with Special brew,

and who can resit Tantalising Maggie? performed by the Nice,

next another from a group, the Walker Brothers, performed by one of them Scott, written by songwriting couple Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent, this was Scott's biggest UK hit, making it all the way up to number 7 in 1968,

you have to be a fan of the show to appreciate this, the opening theme of Third Rock from the Sun, and so on the evening went, you may be wondering what happen to our camera purchase, it appears that buying from Panasonic is not as easy as we at first thought, after receiving the telephone number from Panasonic's head office in Bangkok we called it a few times in the vain attempt to talk to some one to find out how much the camera was and where we can by it, at 11.25, the fifth call of the morning, I finally gave up and left my number on the voice mail that answered the telephone, an automated voice then informed me that our number was logged and our call would be returned, well it was not and we are still waiting to hear from Panasonic, still it must be good for Panasonic, they must have so many customers they do not need any more! hopefully Panasonic will call us tomorrow with news of where we can buy our new camera, we then finally made a move inside, for us we were off to bed.
