We Decided On A Romantic Night Out,

so it was glad rags on,

we had booked a table and also knowing that there would be a lot of water throwing booked a taxi at 3.00 in the afternoon to pick us up at 6.00, for the second time the taxi company let us down,

so we went on motorbike taxis, the good news was that Diana arrived dry whilst I was a little wet, most people saw that I had a camera bag and did not throw any water except one group of I guess European tourists, outside of Central Festival a three wheeled mobile bar had been set up, which added to the party feel of the evening,

in the distance a light show,

 Diana strikes the pose,

 as did I,

well it is not often you are 66 years and a day old!

we made our way to the restaurant,

 along the corridor,

that leads to the Flare restaurant,

 but we were going here,

to the Edge restaurant,

I had a look around before eating,

as I was walking around I had a chat with Matt Dowdell the Sous Chef we had meet here before,

and a quick hello at the wine station,

I passed one of Diana's favorites, the pizza station,

lots of heated dishes, the roast for this evening was a choice of beef or lamb,

and lots of seafood waiting to be grilled,

a nice selection of cold cuts,

with cheese and potted salmon and shrimps,

 a selection of Thai food,

fried corn fritters and fried fish cakes,

 on to desserts,

and what a selection,

and with a light and dark chocolate fountain as well,

and for a real treat you can have a custom made dessert to your liking,

 a coconut shake for Diana,

which looked so nice,

a glass of bubbly for myself,

 on to our starters,

Diana decided to go straight in with prawns and rock lobsters from the grill,

for myself potted salmon with some brie cheese that made for a nice combination,

next for Diana, pizza!

 for myself another starter,

salmon on rice with steamed prawns,

main course next a slice of both beef and lamb, baked salmon covered in diced beetroot with crab and onion rice,

Diana skipped a course and tucked into some macaroons,

which she then followed with a slice of beef with salmon and pasta,

to round the meal off I decided on a few more slices of salmon on rice with soy sauce, what a lovely meal, we made our way outside where we were in luck, a fleet of yellow and blue taxis were waiting and there was hardly any traffic, soon we were home for a nightcap then we were off to bed.
