When I Think Of Roses,

I think of small bushes with clusters of flowers,

a few feet tall, perhaps more for some standard rose bushes,

so I was surprised when I came across this monster rose tree, the story of the world's largest rose tree begins in 1884, and the rose took root, now it has a trunk of around 14 feet in diameter and covers over 5,000 square feet, the full story is here, and a nice read it is too.
