another early start,
we were soon headed through tunnels,
cut into the cliffs,
as we made our way back home,
the first few not too big,
until we came to this one, but we had one more place to visit,
this is where we were heading,
the Garth Victorian Pier,
it is now celebrating its 125 year birthday,
not a soul in sight,
looking to the right as we walked towards the end,
looking back,
every so often there are these little 'pods' I shall call them,
each one with a shop inside, we were early so none had opened yet,
this bench donated by the Croydon Welsh Society,
it might be early but it is time for a pose,
looking at some of the riverside houses,
and another of the 'pods',
each one a different colour,
and each selling different products,
this one pancakes for instance,
looking back to where we had parked the car,
I see no ships!
well just the one,
the café,
at the end of the pier,
looking back there was some work to the pier going on,
time for a sit,
and a rest,
the railway bridge in the distance,
a panorama of the far shore,
we decided on coffee and cakes,
at the end of the pier behind the café two pods, one in need of repair,
one taken away and being repaired,
coffee and cakes,
are served,
what a pleasant way to finish our holiday,
a map of Bangor,
it even had a Wetherspoons! we made good time on the drive home, Steve dropping us of about 7.30 in the evening, many thanks to Steve and Kai, especially Steve for doing all of the driving, 660 miles to be exact, after unpacking it was feet up for a coffee one from New Tricks before we were off to bed.
