I Am Only Making One Post Today,

as during lunch I became really unwell,


Sunday lunch started well as it always does 'Cheers!', after a read and a sherry,

we had a lobster bisque,

which was delicious,

followed by pork,

with gravy for Diana, and sans gravy for myself, then it happened, I suddenly felt very hot and cold, but the sensations reversed, when I was sweating I was shivering, when I was cold I was sweating, plus a pounding headache, as I got up from the table I was also so dizzy I thought I was going to fall over, I sat on the sofa, my lunch barely touched, I felt terrible, so much so I did two things I have not done in many decades, firstly I went to bed to lie down, and secondly I took two Paracetamol, after 07.00 in the evening I got up but still felt terrible, Diana was a great help, but really there was nothing that could be done other than making cups of tea, I went back to bed and had a bad nights sleep, waking up hot and throwing the covers off, then waking up cold and pulling them back again! I had a sleep in this morning, waking at 08.30 to type this, after which as I still feel really fragile I will be going back to bed for a few more hours, hopefully I will be a new man tomorrow!

Stanley-your experience demonstrates out of balance on health. Many times your symptoms indicate too much saturated fat in the diet due to purchasing food from outside. If you cook meals from scratch yourself then you know what is in the base ingredients and you can then better understand what is The Good The Bad and Ugly in your diet. Given your strong ability to read and research, you should now channel your focus and energy on having a clean diet. Most restaurants today use the cheapest ingredients that are also the most unhealthy. Same with packaged take away foods from your grocery stores and Indian restaurants that you heat up at home. Bad news——you need to learn how to cook Healthy food or risk an early death. Since you are retired like us, you have extra time. What better use of time than to learn and cook ultra healthy meals and extend your life? Your panic today was a first warning…we see this all the time before major health collapse… failing heart, high blood pressure, diabetes…all things that shorten ones life. We both drink like fish but have perfect in the green levels on our every 6 month blood tests. I can tell you I have consumed at least one liquor store or two in my life so far and liver testing shows no damage. All my friends my age that have died have died from cancer or heart disease due to plugged fat in vessels. If you research and buy the right ingredients for day to day meals you can improve your health profile and blood content by at least 80% from existing. But..no more fish and chips fried in palm oil. (Oil all restaurants use and cheapest vs healthy oils) problem with going out on photo shoots is you want to show a stop at a restaurant. Expensive and damaging to health. Suggest you study simple cooking and pack picnics for your outings. This will save you a lot of money and will improve your health conditions. It may take 24 months to clean out your system from processed prepared food but it is worth it because you can live. We care about you as a friend want you to live a long, healthy life Stan. I worked for the world’s largest private ingredient company for 40 years and know how the industry has moved from good, healthy food to poor quality processed food to cut cost over the last 20 years. McDonalds, KFC, Burger King all are death traps to the public given saturated fat and selling sofa drinks that cause weight gain due to high fructose sweetness . As we see these franchises expand in the world we see more saturated fat consumed and heart diseases, plus weight gain due to soda selling .
So Stan- overview:
1. No processed or take out food
2. Drink all you want and live longer
3. Any trip pack all your food at home so you do not continue to consume high fat poor quality foods
4. Switch research time on blog to best ways to scratch cook. Switch postings to cooking discoveries that are successful
5. Cook only at home with highest quality ingredients and do not consume any processed food given it is a death wish.
The golden era has changed and you can only trust yourself to provide and protect yourself from processed crap!!!!

Dear John and Alley, many thanks for your kind concern and advice, cooking for myself is an uphill struggle, I have no enthusiasm for it, also we do enjoy eating out at restaurants a few times very month or so, I appreciate all that you are saying, but we each have our life's path and self cooking I am afraid is not for me, I will try to have the occasional salad, at the same time I do not eat at any of the fast food places you mention unless I really have too, even then I do not enjoy the food, normally I just have a coffee and leave it at that, thankfully the only time we have fish and chips is when we visit the coast! best regards, Stan and Diana.
