Bentleys Have Featured More Than A Few Times On My Blog,
normally though it is where they have had their wheels stolen,
but this one decided to have a swim! a city stockbroker had his Bentley driven into a river by staff at a car workshop yesterday, the £100,000 Continental GT skidded across a roundabout, smashed through a metal post and careered down a bank into the water,
it happened when a staff member went to move the silver Bentley it appears there was a brake fault, the car ended up five-feet under in the River Lee, at Enfield, North London, the driver escaped unhurt, fire crews were unable to retrieve the two-ton motor, it is expected to be an insurance write-off, Boss Scott Coleman said: “Something was wrong with the brakes, the owner knows about it.”
when the garage said "the owner knows about it" I wonder if they meant the bad brakes or the car in the water, I just hope the garage was insured!
