Riza Just Had To Try Her New Fishing Rod,

so it was a trip to Jimmy's fishing park,
first fish of the day a tilapia, the park is on Soi 28, just off Numplabwan,
and Riza all smiles as she tries the new tackle,
then the first fish, rob bending under the strain, and there it is a small carp, this one we put back as the girls wanted to eat tilapias,
looking from the small lake towards the bar,
and across to the pool table,
and looking from our fishing table and hut, it is so clean there compared to other parks we have been to, with nice tables and chairs and proper roofs, so if it does rain you will not get wet,
view from our fishing "hut"
Mike chilling out,
Diana decided to have a try and caught a small tilapia, one more for the pot!
then Riza was in to another big one, look at the way the rod is bending!
another carp, that was put back,
and the man himself, Jimmy, he wants to make his park the premier fishing spot in Pattaya and the surrounding area, more as a place to catch big trophy fish rather than ones for the pot, he has got several species of large native fish there, more so in the bigger pond if you want to see more pictures of them visit the parks web site here, all in all a great afternoons fishing, and if you do not have any gear it is no problem as bait, tackle and rods are all available at the park, happy fishing!
then it was off to Jay and Precil's for a cooking session, whilst we were happily fishing and taking things easy Jay was laying 100 or so square meters of turf and breaking more rocks,
we arrived just in time to release him from the chain gang!
the fish were placed in a bowl for cleaning,
Diana and Precil soon started work, Mike and Riza were on the way but stopped at the market for some vegetables,
all smiles in this picture, but she was not very enthusiastic about gutting the fish, I think this was the first time she had done it,
the first lot in the pan, this was some paksiw a Filipino dish,
Riza making ampalaya with egg,
but for us it was a take home Indian, well no change there then!
with fresh mussels and lots of other stuff the girls settle down for the evening,
as does Den-Den after exhausting herself running for her ball in the garden,
the girls watching movies whilst we have a few drinks and games of cribbage, another great day in Pattaya, and for a change a nice clean fishing park, lots of fish and English management, if you have an afternoon or longer to kill give it a try, "Happy fishing!"
