3BB did not arrive again, but the good news was that the lady there said they might call round today, sure enough at midday four guys in their truck arrived,

the cable was run out,

to the back of the house,

the supplied modem fitted and with great fanfare turned on, imagine in your head ta-ta-at-ataaa, nothing! a few lights flashed and the four installers looked at each other, a few phone calls, then in sign language wait, two hours later another couple of guys called in, they attached dialler's, wires,

made a few more calls then left with out a word, but I knew they would be back as they had left this bit of kit behind, after an hour or so back they came, a few more twiddling dials, flicking switches and pulling knobs and it was working! it is difficult to say but I am guessing it is three times faster than my satellite connection, the even better news it is half the price!, but as always buyer beware, it took more than a few days of us waiting in to have 3BB installed, and will it be as quick as this in a years time? we shall see,

during the day Mick called in as well as Mr. Tony for a tea and a chat, then Diana cooked us both roast chicken with onion gravy, ham wrapped carrots, roast potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, delicious!

then all set for a night on the town, we were a bit early for Sweethearts to open so we had a walk looking at the lights,

Lucifer's had a nice display,

still early so the street is a bit quite,

we decided to have a couple in Baccara, before heading back to Sweethearts but on the way The Cavern, formally Sisterz looks near to opening,

made it to Sweethearts, we were having a few with Grieg when disaster struck, a power cut, it soon got so hot with out the air cons working we made an early move to see Juu in Champions,

in the street two trucks from the electrical supply company were there,

it appears the problem was with this transformer, about 10 or so businesses were with out power, we called into Champions, Big Jim was there and we were soon joined by Peter and Noi, Juu has had 3 or 4 new air conditioners fitted, unfortunately still not working but it should be all systems go by next week,

Juu very kindly gave us a ride home, but whilst waiting I saw on of these, big scooters, there seems to be more of these about over here, they are about 500 or 600 c.c.'s still think I will keep to my step through!

then home, vodka soda in my new shirt from Juu, feet up and watch another episode of The Return of Sherlock Holmes, Silver Blaze, this time Holmes investigates the disappearance of a champion racehorse and the murder of its trainer on a lonely moor, then off to bed.
