Pattaya Closed At Night!

yes for the first time in 27 years of coming here a curfew was enforced last night in Pattaya, but I am getting ahead of myself, we had a busy day with friends popping in all day, first Alex and Mick called in for a tea and a chat,
followed by Phil in his 'Grumpy' shirt,
as usual he was on his 'Hero' motorcycle, the only one he has that starts and stops, many a true word! great number plate,
later Mark called in followed by Jay and Precil, they have all just returned from Cambodia,
Precil and Diana were kept busy making tea and soft drinks,
then it was off for our regular Wednesday night in town,
we decided to meet Phil in the Cavern for two reasons, firstly it was Phil's last night before returning home to the UK, secondly it was the grand opening night for the Cavern,
but the police beat us to it, a police truck was telling every beer bar, money exchange, restaurant, go-go bar and shop to tell all of the tourists to go home, a curfew was in force, also I have heard all banks were ordered not to open the next day and ATM machines closed, but I will confirm about the banks tomorrow, as I need to draw some cash,
lights out, all go home!
I am not making light of the curfew, it may well be that a credible threat had been received, but if not tourists will be talking about this for years, we will find out tomorrow, what was strange was that all of the 7-11's were also closed, good job we had lots of beers in!
Diana decided all of this excitement was too much for her so a bite to eat was needed for when we arrived home, a banana fritter,
and some fresh water melon,
keep on the diet, I must eat more fruit,
well as it was an early feet up, I treated myself to some of Jeff's Iceberg vodka, many thanks Jeff! then a few DVD's,
first I, Robot, it is the year 2035 and the world has forgotten the lessons we learnt in the 20th Century from films like Bladerunner and Terminator, robots are the new must have accessory, so do they take over the world? watch it and see, great movie, story line and special effects, followed by The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Boscombe Valley Mystery, when William McCarthy is found dead, the son with whom he had just quarreled is charged with murder, rounding off the evening with another from The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Master Blackmailer, Holmes and Watson attempt to break the grip of a ruthless blackmailer of their clients, Charles Augustus Milverton, then to bed.
