by now we were virtually the only customers in the restaurant,
no prizes for guessing, prawn cocktail!
but Diana for a change went for some Thai food,
later in the evening Diana started to prepare our evening meal,
'Cheers!' from me, the red wine is purely medicinal, I assure you!
pork chop, carrots and broccoli, with fried potatoes mixed with bacon and onions, followed by fresh lychee's, then feet up for The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, The Three Gables, a dead young man's affair with a beautiful widow brings odd, dangerous events to his grandmother's house, great story but messy filming, so many times there was a double image, one scene superimposed over another, very arty some would say I guess but for me not pleasant viewing, followed by The Dying Detective, a man dies of a mysterious tropical disease on which his cousin, his heir, is the sole authority, Holmes sets a trap and nearly pays for it with his life! then to bed.
