Pattaya becomes a 'no-go' zone if you want to stay dry, it is not so much the getting wet, but the sheer aggression of the people throwing water at you with all of their might that is so dangerous, so feet up and watch some television, not that it was easy, just down the road a set of speakers had been set up, with the volume of the street party speakers set at maximum, even hearing our television with the doors and windows closed was a trial, but it is the Thai New Year, so one must go with the flow, Mark called by for a cup of tea, he had driven along the less well populated streets but still managed to get wet, after he left it was feet up for An Audience with Peter Ustinov, such a raconteur, he has meet so many famous people in his life with a story to tell about each,
three more episodes from the Bloody Britain, a TV mini-series aired in 2004, we watched 3 episodes, having watched the first two before the third was the Body Snatchers, British medical advances in the early 1800s depended on a constant supply of fresh bodies... with no questions asked! fourth the Siege of Rochester, it was so much fun seeing where Diana and myself were in Kent last year, King John's bloody siege of the barons at Rochester Castle and bloody it was, with hardly any prisoners spared a gruesome end, the fifth in the series Witchfinder General, Matthew Hopkins was responsible for finding, torturing and killing more 'witches' than anyone else in history, but was he one as well?
next a start on series four of Open All Hours, taking off where series three finished Arkwright continues his quest for Gladys, whilst Granville is love struck,
to round off the evening, or I should say early morning, the delights of Cirque Du Soleil, this time Saltimbanco, we have so enjoyed so many of these shows this one was no exception, the skills displayed by the performers was breathtaking, the problem being they make everything look so easy you have to remind yourself how difficult these performances really are, then for us off to bed.

Now you’re talking of some proper quality viewing! My cabinet is bursting with classic British sitcom and drama. I note that you, as a Londoner, still support the north’s ‘Open all Hours’. I’m a southerner too – West Country – ‘Doc Martin’ is high on my list.
Dear Mark, yes we both like Open All Hours, also we have the complete box set of I Didn't Know You Cared, all four series of Doc Martin’s are here as well, for me it was a pity that what was to have been series five was made into a film, but enjoyable neither the less, Happy Viewing! best regards, Stan and Diana.
