08.00 And The Painters Had Arrived,

 today four of them,

by now most of the outside had one coat,

so the second coat was put on by some of them, whilst anther started on the gloss around the door frames,

also the brown gloss over some of the trim around the house,

and a section at the front,

this is the boss Wod,

then for me down to town,

Walking Street looks so different in the daylight,

I stopped to turn around to take a picture of the Champion bars sign,

there is as usual only supposed to be parking on one side of the street,

but it does not seem to mater,

and this was where I was going, to the money exchange,

arriving home I noticed one of the hibiscus had flowered,

and a second flower on the amaryllis had appeared,

work had continued whilst I was away,

 the house nearly finished,

then it was time to move the plants,

for the inside walls to be started,

a bit of preparation and the first coat was applied,

but then it was back to the paint shop for me as we were about to run out,

next after the second coat it was time to clear up,

 job finished,

and it was all looking good, as Diana said, 'it is just like a new house',

almost as soon as we had tidied a few things up it was time to go to Le Bordeaux,

we had enjoyed it so much the last time we went we asked Mr. Tony if he wanted to accompany us,

the reason we went today is that it closes every Wednesday,

 first a complimentary amuse bouche,

which we all enjoyed, Diana looking as lovely as ever,

 for our starters,

Mr. Tony went for the mixed cold meats,

some thing completely different for Diana,

although just called escargots in the menu I think they were served as escargots à la Bourguignonne,

a plate of mussels in garlic and parsley butter for me,

we were quite early, but as the evening progressed a few more dinners arrived,

we all decided on steaks for our main course,

tenderloin for Diana and Mr. Tony,

I went with one of the specials that was featured on the specials board, a rib eye,

 'Cheers!',

next after a rest between courses the desserts,

home made profiteroles with a chocolate sauce for Diana,

delight profiteroles for Mr. Tony which incidentally he said were the nicest dessert he can remember eating - ever,

I went with the crème brûlée, but be warned, they make it properly here so it is a 20 minutes wait, but as you would expect all of our desserts arrived at exactly the same time,

a complimentary chocolate finished our meal off and what a lovely meal it was too,

the dining room looks first class, if you want a nice meal with a full menu with specials for the day, unobtrusive service and lovely decor this is the places to try,

during the day we watched Clockwise, we both laughed so much at the story of a headteachers mishaps as he desperately struggles to attend a meeting of head teachers on time,

also Microcosmos, a film without dialogue but beautifully shot footage of insect life in meadows and ponds, using incredible close-ups, slow motion, and time-lapse photography, a joy to watch,

after we arrived home from the restaurant another helping of Judge John Deed, series 3, then past midnight we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony and with full stomachs we were off to bed.
