Sunday Already,

 so no painting today for us,

 this week for our Sunday lunch we were off to the Punch & Judy,

 we were joined by Mr. Tony who was tempted by a Stowford Press cider,

 we were all so hungry I forgot to take a picture of our starters, we all went for the chicken liver pate,

 so on to the main courses, Diana decided on rice with a Thai meat dish complete with a fried egg,

 shepherds pie for Mr. Tony,

 roast lamb for myself, as usual huge portions of food, all so delicious, we decided against a dessert in the pub,

but made a move back home for a ice cream, then feet up to watch a few DVDs into the evening, first Rise of the Planet of the Apes, latest in the series a chimpanzee who gains human-like intelligence and emotions from an experimental drug assembles a simian army and escapes the sanctuary - putting man and ape on a collision course that could change the planet forever, we never stood a chance!

followed by a favorite of mine, seriously underrated in my opinion 1941 was such a funny and in many respects true movie, we had watched it before but Mr. Tony had not, this was what I wrote in another post before about it, 'I just love this film, though it was a bit of a flop in the US, 1941 puts together a number of things that happened in the US, in 1941 and as it happens also in 1942/3, Japanese submarines off the coast, anti aircraft guns put in peoples front yards, San Fransisco blacked out for 6 hours due to an air raid with thousands of rounds fired into the sky at nothing, not to mention the Zoot Suits riots, to name just a few true happenings that feature in this big budget Steven Spielberg movie,' we all enjoyed watching it,

another film that we had watched that Mr. Tony had not was Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire are three intelligent young children who receive terrible news that their parents have died in a fire and have left them an enormous fortune not to be used until the eldest child is of age, when they are sent to live with Count Olaf, who naturally wants their inheritance, great fun,

we rounded off the evening with another from Judge John Deed series 5, by now it was late so we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony, then for us we were off to bed.
