started early,
after breakfast with a grudge match of Monopoly, which Diana won,
after that Diana was taking pointers,
from Nick about how to make Yorkshire puddings,
and here they were in the oven,
today we were eating roast beef for lunch,
expertly carved by Nick,
whilst I looked after the table,
and drinks,
Nick and Maureen's Christmas tree looked so nice,
with the angel on top,
'Cheers!',
roast beef and Yorkshire pudding,
a very happy Diana,
a touch of gravy,
'Cheers!', from Nick and Maureen,
then it was time to eat,
we followed with some more of Nick's delicious trifle,
I am not sure how much Cointreau Nick put into it, but there was not much left in what started out as a full bottle!
then we all went crackers,
Diana received a moustache,
which she thought looked better on me,
we followed the meal with cheese and biscuits and pickled onions,
