so time for a Sunday pre-dinner walk,
glad rags on and we were off,
past Beckenham Junction,
the green,
and the only actual bank in Beckenham now closed up and being repurposed,
just inside we are normally greeted with a riot of flowers,
but alas we were a bit early,
past the gate house,
and over the bridge, the River Beck, very low,
hardly any water compared to normal flowing over the weir,
not that it affected the Egyptian goose on top of it,
a quick pose,
as we started our walk, the edges of the lake had been renewed over winter, but the level of the lake did look a bit low,
a new fence had been installed,
and some of the waterside plants removed to give a better view of the lake,
and the herons that live there,
the next flower bed the same as the first,
hopefully on our next visit all will be planted,
and here he was,
we just had too,
two ice creams with a flake £7.00,
we sat down to enjoy our ice creams,
I had already posted the blog, then Diana sent me a few photographs of us in the park,
'Cheers!' with two ice creams!
opposite a new area had been added with benches and tables placed there for park visitors, the Canadian geese waiting to be feed,
near the seating area,
the giant rhubarb, (Gunnera manicata), growing well,
we crossed a newly opened bridge, with more Canadian geese in attendance,
a quick pose,
and look along the lake, we did not walk to the far end of it today,
a new area opened up and fenced, then out of the park,
and past St. George's church,
Diana calling into M & S
for a few bits & pieces,
into the park and past Foxgrove lodge,
and home where it was time for a read and a sherry,
for our meal today roast beef, sans gravy for myself, lashings of gravy for Diana,
'Cheers!', before tucking in, after our meal a Columbo, then one we had watched recently before,
so in the afternoon/early evening we watched Goldfinger, Auric Goldfinger and his henchman are planning to raid Fort Knox and obliterate the world economy, released in 1964, great fun for all, after a snack in the evening we were surprised to find a Midsomer Murder being shown so we watched that, followed by a Have I Got A Bit More News For You, after which Diana was off to bed, a early start tomorrow, for myself a Bangers & Cash followed by a Kenny Everett Video Show, after that I too was off to bed.

Beautiful photos! Our Canada geese sure do make their way around and I am happy to see one of them liked you! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely tour. Warm greetings from a 68 year old retiree living in Montreal, Canada. My paternal grandparents were born in Kent, England.
Dear Linda's Relaxing Lair, glad that you like the photographs, if you look back over the last 14 years there are thousands of them! best regards, Stan and Diana.
