Sunday Again,

and today we have the company of Kai for our Sunday lunch,

a sherry and a read as I peer past the sunflowers,

a 'Cheers!', from myself as we all tuck in to a Sunday roast duck, after which we watched a Columbo before Kai left for home to feed Buddy, for us after a snack in the evening it was feet up for a film, and a enjoyable one it was to,

October Sky, in the 1950's in a mining town called Coalwood, Homer Hickam is a kid with only one future in sight, to work in the local coalmine like his father, however in October 1957 everything changes when the first artificial satellite, Sputnik goes into orbit, the film is a pretty much true story of what happens next, culminating in Homer Hickam becoming a NASA worker, interestingly at the end of the film a short 8mm film is shown of the 'October Sky' boys, when they were well, boys, building rockets, after which Diana was off to bed, another early start for her tomorrow, for myself another film,

Four Brothers, all adopted at a early age in their life, someone has to pay when their 'mother' is mercilessly killed in a store robbery, a tad slow in places, but an enjoyable watch before I too was off to bed.
