the nearest I have got was when we went to the -5 degrees club with Jeff and Da, but a friend sent me these pictures of Versoix after a storm on Lake Geneva in 2005, it gives me the chills just looking at them!
it appears the storm winds made waves so big the spray was sent inland where it froze where it fell,
I wonder if the owner used his credit card to scrap the ice from his windscreen!
many thought their boats would be safe in the harbour,
but unfortunately the weight of ice proved to much for them.
just out of interest Lake Geneva is sometimes called Lake Leman.
