'Let Me Abos Go Loose, Lou… They're Of No Further Use, Lou.'
anyone from the UK who is about my age will know these are the words of a song by Rolf Harris,
it was the 1960 hit Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport, well in today's PC culture he has apologised for the offence to indigenous Australians, Aborigines, he then went on to say about the filth that always seems to surround Aborigine settlements to "get up off your arse and clean up the streets your bloody self", He was referring to communities of indigenous Australians who complain about their poverty and filthy conditions, for me that is a question that should be left to the Australians to ponder, but why is it that we have to apologise for things that at that time were considered innocent? how can we or why should we always have to do this? I have said many times before how can we judge say 17th. century culture with 21st. century morals?
