then over to Lewisham Hospital, a friend had been taking ill that morning, but luckily after a a couple of days observation all was well,
then back to Beckenham Cricket Club,
to watch the match,
where we meet two of Steve's friends, Pat and Alex,
then back home to Steve's place,
tulips, I have only seen them once in Thailand at a flower show, even then they were in a special air conditioned tent,
the day had just sailed past, so out for our evening meal, we stopped at Nandos in the High Street, ordered our food and drink,
a nice Sauvignon, after a couple of glasses the waiter came to our table and explained all three of the main courses were off, would we like to cancel? well Mexican food not being one of my favorites we did, the main reason we went there was as we were walking to it the skies opened up,
so next door to Riso, it was open but closed, the door was open, lights on, tables laid, but they were closed,
so along to a wet Elmers End,
where we found this Greek Taverna,
we had eaten there before with Mick and Pauline,
Greek sliced ham for me, Kai did not have a starter,
this time the house wine,
Greek beer for Steve,
'Cheers!' from all of us!
the waitress was from memory from Roumania,
so we had two half empty bottles of wine to drink on the balcony,
next morning I was up in Bromley High Street, I had a bit of shopping to do,
fresh Kentish strawberry's,
along with cherries, yummy!
on to Daniels in market square, I spotted a present for Diana, I also went to the phone shop, the civic center (for my old age buss pass), and to order some drawings of my apartment from the planning center,
in the morning I had decided to pop in and see Peter Morris, he runs a coin and medal shop at Bromley North Station, but in the morning it was closed, as luck would have it on the way back it was open,
by now Steve had finished work so we meet up for a beer and a coffee in The Partridge before going home,
Peter with some of his wares, he like Steve is married to a Thai lady, so we all had lots to talk about, at one stage it almost seemed that both their wives came from the same village!
then on to the evening after a wash and brush up, 7.30 and time to meet up in The George in Beckenham High Street,
a typical English pub,
well with a name like that what would you expect?
then over the road to Miso's where we had eaten earlier in the week, Bob, Steve, Kai and Debbie,
Neil and Steve,
'cheers!' from all of us, the course of conversation roamed far and wide, but Neil mentioned we might have another fish finding expedition, the last time I had meet a representative of the Indian government in Singapore, he arranged and accompanied us on a 2,800 kilometer drive through Assam, Meghalaya and Aurnachal Pradesh looking for new species, Neil mentioned he might have time to fit a trip in, I suggested South America based at Manaus, whilst Neil thought Indonesia might be a better bet, so exciting times might be ahead! then back to Steve's for a night cap and off to bed.
