local councillor Mike Priestley said: 'I'm quite surprised that a building that has been designed to withstand bombs has bits falling off it in the wind.' one worker, who was turned away said: 'I understand the need for safety but I'm disappointed that such a modern, multi-million pound building should be in such a state, older buildings don't seem to have any problems,' the WAG website says it houses staff in departments including Children, Education, Lifelong Learning & Skills; Economy & Transport; Rural Affairs & Heritage; Health & Social Services; Social Justice & Local Government; Environment, Sustainability & Housing; Corporate Information & Services; Public Service & Performance and Human Resources,
I wonder if the council can claim the wages paid to the staff from the company that built it? in this litigious age something along the lines of 'a product not fit for the purpose it was designed for,' springs to mind, but as usual the wages for the 500 staff will be picked up by - you guessed it - the taxpayer!
