Just As We Made Up Our Minds That The Samsung 3D System Was The One We Would buy,

(if we had the money!), along comes those smart people at LG and start to market a different 3D system, later this year it will introduce two new televisions for viewing 3D, but the 3D effect will not use active glasses like Samsung, which typically cost £100.00 or so a pair which uses a battery to operate shutters to blackout alternate eyes, but will use passive glasses which are cheaper, a lot cheaper, just like the ones used in cinemas, they will work with any LCD, (it dose not mention LED), television provided they have an extra layer on the screen for the LG system which will cut the resolution in half,

Samsung will stick with it's active system, but will the new system need a different type of HD 3D DVD or will you have to increase the resolution every time you put a new HD 3D DVD on the new system? back to the V.H.S. V Betamax wars or more recently HD V Blu-Ray, why is it that manufacturers can not agree on a standard and all pull together, I guess anyone thinking about a 3D television will now put it on hold till the LG system is out there.
