so dressed in the height of fashion we continued on our way to see Jack Levy about the repair to the truck, naturally when we arrived there it was dry, the sky was blue, the sun was out, birds were singing, etc,
so back to 388 and continue with sorting the stamps and putting them in the albums,
I know it looks a mess, well it is a mess, but I sort of know where most things are, later Mark and then Phil called round, Phil commenting that this was a special day, it was one of the few ones he has had over here where all of his bikes actually start and run, one for the history book,
after pork chops for our evening meal we settled down to watch 3 New Tricks, all new ones, when we looked at this series the first time round we missed one DVD with 3 episodes on on it D'oh! the first one we missed was set in 1992, 18-year old Hannah Taylor was kidnapped and now a body, once believed to be hers, is proven to be another girl's, Hannah's mother Madeline,an ex-alcoholic G.P., is prickly but admits to paying a twenty thousand pound ransom delivered by an-ex cop,
followed by the tale of TV cookery queen Kitty Campbell who is rumoured to have poisoned her husband Bertie, I must admit whilst watching this episode I was so much reminded of a real life cooking show featuring Fanny and Johnnie Cradock, in real life Fanny was a bigamist and a bully, featuring four marriages, the abandoned children and the love of her life, Johnny, I wondered if the New Tricks writer had made a parody of the once famous couple? last for the evening the team investigates the theft of a valuable red diamond that disappeared in 1982, it comes into Jack's possession from his friend Elise, but is Elise more than just a friend? then for us off to bed.
