so we had lots to talk about as they had just returned form the UK,
first one of the evening Davy Crockett, from the Wild, Wild West series, it tells the story of American national hero Davy Crockett, born in 1786 on the banks of the Nolichucky river who became a legend in his own life time, strange thing is back in the mid 1950's he was big in the UK as well, my grandma who I stayed with in Plumstead in my school holidays, used a unwanted fox stole to make my Davy Crockett hat, it had the fox's head where the coon's head would be and of course the fox's tail like the tail in Davy's hat, happy days,
then a travel documentary about the Ganges, which is the most sacred river of Hindu India, the BluRay beautifully filmed and full of amazing facts, for instance in the Ganges plain 1 in 10 of the earths entire population live there,
Arn: The Knight Templar rounded off the evening, Arn, the son of a high-ranking Swedish nobleman is educated in a monastery and sent to the Holy Land as a Knight Templar to do penance for a forbidden love, Arn of course is fiction but there is a web page for Arn Magnusson, the film hero, with that it was late so we were off to bed.
