where does the time go?
time just seems to fly past, but for today we are off for Sunday lunch,
we went for the 199 carvery, it comes with soup and an ice cream dessert,
delicious,
'Cheers!' the wine by the way was just 69 baht a glass,
or taking a break to read the papers!
ice cream anyone?
or a dress?
moving on to the next sale,
some fresh coconuts for Diana,
and a pineapple,
a quick look for change,
and we are ready to go,
we rounded off with Expedition Africa as the four adventures followed Stanley's footsteps, they made it sound so dangerous, with lots of wild life shots of vicious animals apparently stalking the stars, when in fact the only thing stalking the group was the 100+ support crew! the shots of animals were from other locations if you look at the water and backgrounds, also not obvious was when the group sails along the coast of Lake Tanganyika were the boats equipped with outboard motors to help them on their way, (I will not mention the fleet of 4X4's), so it was just like Stanley's time then! but full marks to the film crew who I have to say were the real heroes, and a shame that one of the starts forgot to start taking his anti malaria tablets a couple of months before the trek started and paid the price! one thing I remember from Africa when Neil and myself went there to work in the Congo, Zaire and Zambia was the bitter tasting anti malaria tablets we had to take months before we left the UK, but we had great times catching fish for the aquatic trade and SCUBA diving for them in Lake Tanganyika when we were based at Mpulungu, with that we were off to bed.
