We Are More Than A Bit Late With The Blog Today,

but we had a very busy morning on Sunday, but more of that tomorrow,

so back to Saturday, we decided to go to the weekend plant market,

as usual lots of plants to look at,

some more moisture loving plants like Diana's moss garden,

and lots of small bonsai,

and I do mean lots!

I quiet liked this one,

with its roots over a rock,

for some reason many of the stalls had bonsai for sale,

a closer look at one of the ones above,

and from a slightly different angle,

 water lilies were also here,

in flower,

I had to pose with some of the garden ornaments,

I remember trying to keep one of these in the UK, it is a Medinilla magnifica,

with not a lot of success, it hails from the Philippines,

there are of course lots of full sized trees here, just bring a bigger truck!

when ever we see one of these flowers,

Diana always has to feel its petals to make sure it is not plastic,

this stall sold small plants that grew giant bananas,

for me a new type of bonsai,

with the branches having a 'ball' of leaves on each branch,
 they looked quiet neat,
there were of course some 'normal' bonsai for sale,

 lots of orchids,

with a nice selection of cut orchids,

in so many colours,

I guess this is where some of the restaurants buy their table decorations,

theses ones looked particularly nice,

it then started to rain so we made our way past the instant waterfall stall,

we then treated ourselves to a couple of ice coffees before driving home,

no sooner did we arrive back than Mike and Riza called on to say Hi, as it was getting late and none of us had eaten we decided on a meal out,

 and where better than Cherry's?

we went in the side entrance,

it was the International buffet night, so a full range of starters,

and a mouth watering selection of desserts,

Mike as all of us was spoilt for choice,

 then the feast begin!

 'Cheers!' from all of us,

as we were eating I looked out of the window and saw this guy putting up some cables, for me the surprising thing was that the only support for the ladder was other already installed cables,

we both had a nice selection of starters and main courses,

 like these,

Mike and Riza enjoyed the food as well as we did, we chatted the evening away at Cherry's, then back to 388 after Mike and Riza left we decided it was time for bed.
