Off To The Beach,

so a quick walk down,

 the small pathway,

 to Dongtan beach,

a new pavement is being constructed on the land side of the road,

so it looks like we will get a new entrance to the road rather than the unmade up pavement before,

we decided on our usual concession,

as there was red skies last night, it hopefully meant a nice day to day, and it was,

looking both right and left on the beach,

we ordered our breakfast, Thai food for Diana,

sen lek gai, or chicken fine noodle soup for myself,

then Mrs. Doughnut called by, so a couple of doughnuts from her as that was all she had,

 a melon shake for Diana,

whilst I tucked into my first doughnut,

out about 100 yards a boat crew was in action,

towing bundles of floats to re-secure the ones that were blown ashore in the last storm,

there are to cordon off an area for swimmers where no jet skies or motorised craft can go,

 some were already in place,

as a second section is towed into place,

 and attached,

this part of the job done, off for the next string,

I had been watching this fishing boat for sometime, the sea is calm but the boat has a decided list to port,

 the squirrels are back!

 on the lookout for food,

the next string of floats arrived,

 with the helpers in tow,

what a nice day at the office,

the next string attached, and off again,

time for my mid afternoon snack, another doughnut,

and then Mr. Doughnut walked by, so Diana bought a few more for this evening to snack on,

then one of the squirrels came back,

 the red one,

it was now getting late as a group of people paddling their way parallel to the shore went past,

so bill paid and over the road,

and over the newly completed pathway to the entrance to the condominium,

after our evening meal it was feet up for Extinction, what a great movie, I really can not understand why it scored only 5.8 on the IMDB (International Movie Data Base) web page, but there it is, both Diana and myself totally enjoyed the film, great special effects and what a storyline, it was so good at times we were both rooting for the bad guys or where they the good guys? you have to watch the film to see what I mean, and it is well worth watching,

to round off the evening, we decided to start a new series, The Last Ship, but it was not, there was a Russian one as well, but leaving that to one side, if you can get over the cheesiness of it, the story has the potential to be quite good, especially so as it was loosely based on a book of the same name written by William Brinkley, basically in a post-nuclear-apocalyptic world, an American ship, the Nathan James has a couple of scientists on board that can save what remains of the world when the survivors of the nuclear war fall foul of a virus, but others know this and want the cure for themselves, it looks like it might be watchable, so we will give another couple of episodes a look tomorrow, well it can not get any worse, or can it? with that we were off to bed.
