opening up the daily bubbly advent calendar,
for the evening this one,
it was Diana's day off, so we were out Christmas shopping, we decided on Sainsbury's for our Christmas turkey, along with a joint of pork with crackling for Christmas day, plus a joint of beef for out Sunday roast, we also bought stuffing and lots of other Christmas bits and pieces, I will do a final shop on Friday, arriving home Diana busied herself around the house, I tried to stay out of the way, but managed to find myself in exactly the place Diana want to clean or hover!
in the evening we decided to make a start on the goose we enjoyed so much for a Sunday roast a few weekends ago, whilst we were at Sainsburys we bought some plum and hoisin sauce, with pancakes,
we used the goose as you would a crispy duck with pancakes, sauce, spring onions and cucumber to make goose wraps,
and there was lots of it, and we still have enough left for another evenings meal,
delicious!
as well as playing Christmas songs, we also lit up the candles in the table decoration, it was all so romantic,
and I nearly forgot the bubbly! after our meal we opened the chocolate advent calendars, and watched a film titled Inferno, which was remarkably good, especially as it was centered on locations in Florence and Venice, so every so often it was a race to say 'been there', as various places in Venice and Florence appeared in the storyline that we had visited, when that finished another episode of Doctor Blake, one from New Tricks, then as the midnight hour approached, and then went, we were off to bed.
