I Keep Reading About 'Smart' Products,

which as it turns out in many instances,

are not that smart, and in fact if you use them, you can be quite dumb yourself, take 'smart' light bulbs, why on earth with the price of them would anyone use them? especially knowing if you do you have may have invited a thief into your home! in case you have not seen them, smart light bulbs are, well, light bulbs, but with added features, You can turn them on and off without needing to press a switch; you just need a mobile app or a digital home assistant, as if that is not enough, you can also change the color of the light bulb to your liking, but what many do not realize is that these very bulbs can be used to hack the computer networks in your home, so if one of your smart light bulbs starts to malfunction, it may be a sign that it is being hacked, and a sign that your home network is under threat, more details about this over at Fast Company, Video Credit: Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd./ YouTube, smart light bulbs, no I will stick to the good old ones thank you very much!
