Our First Full Day In Penzance,

we started with breakfast,

a full English of course,

we were going to walk to the next town, Newlyn, which houses one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK,

lots of interesting buildings on the way,

like this private house, with its many adormants,

in the harbour next to the dry dock. three black swans, seemed strangely out of place,

it was as usual chucking it down,

we passed the Scillonian III in dry dock,

well I just had to have my photograph taken next to The Stanley!

we were soon walking towards Newlyn in the far distance, along the seawall,

and spotted these plovers,

I am not going to hazard a guess at which of the Charadriidae these ones are,

some intrepid surf boarders making their way down river to the sea,

well I thought this was funny!

walking past the harbour and then going uphill,

we stopped for a break, and noticed a seal in the harbour, unfortunately too far away to photograph, but a first for us, back to the hotel,

where we had a surprise guest, a seagull landed on the window sill, and showed no sign of being disturbed by us he was literally just the pane of glass away,

time for our evening meal, carrot soup for Diana,

pate for myself,

for Diana's main course, a salad of monkfish and prawns,

sliced lamb for myself,

with lots of vegetables for both of us,

a lovely way to round off the day,

'Cheers!',

jam pudding for dessert,

with lots of cream,

we finished with a coffee,

then upstairs,

where we both tried to get in the photograph in the muli mirrored lift, and with that we were off to bed.
