Diana Decided To Treat Us To A Afternoon Out,

so it was glad rags on,

and a quick pose,

 or two,

before boarding the nearly empty train,

'Ah!',

and after changing on to a tube we arrived at Green Park,

we walked past the Ritz,

and Caviar House,

along an almost deserted Piccadilly,

both the Burlington,

and Piccadilly Arcades deserted as well,

and this is where we were heading,

Fortnum and Masons, for our afternoon cream tea,

 I kept my mask on,

then noticed I was the only customer that did,

for My birthday Diana had bought me a bottle of sandal wood cologne from this outlet of Taylor of Old Bond Street

and as I was getting low, Diana bought another bottle,

after some more shopping,

  we made our way upstairs,

passing some of the displays on the way,

and here we were, at the entrance to the afternoon tea rooms,

 we were a tad early,

so a sit in the waiting area,

on the far side the second tea room had not yet started to be used,

 the legend says it all,

 but which tea to choose?

decision made, have a glass of bubbly whilst everything is being prepared,

 we chatted away,

behind Diana the room we were in was fully booked,

and here was our afternoon delight,

on the bottom plate a selection of finger sandwiches,

scones with fresh Cornish cream and jams on the middle plate, back to the finger sandwiches before we had finished another plate was delivered with the waitress saying if we wanted any more please just ask,

on the top plate a selection of desserts,

with a specialty of the chef, a green tea ice cream filled cone,

 what a lovely display,

 on to the wine,

 expertly opened,

 and poured,

 'Cheers!',

 a touch more raspberry jam,

 another 'Cheers!',

next another treat, when we had finished all of the scones and cakes, the sweets did not stop coming, we had a further choice of three cakes, chocolate, battenberg or lemon, we replied that we could not eat another thing, but that was not a problem as the waitress said she would bring us carry home cake boxes!

 and cute they were too!

a last look at the champagne cooler,

and we were on our way downstairs,

stopping for a pose or two on the way, what a treat and many thanks to Diana for treating us both, arriving home it was feet up for a couple of quiz shows, a Midsomer Murder and another 2 hour Silent Witness, then for us we were off to bed.
