The Crow Was Company Again,

as I typed out the blog,

 he called not once,

but twice, this week Diana is on holiday, so for today we had planned to go to Mayfield  Lavender Farm, but alas it was blowing a gale with intermittent rain, we also planned to do our food shopping on the way home afterwards, the lavender farm was out due to the weather, so on to plan 'B',

a drive into town, to have a breakfast at the Cozy Kitchen,

 which had been transformed outside,

 and in,

with masses of flowers on the ceiling and decorating the outside of the building,

decision made we waited for our order,

the inside area had been changed, it was before know as The Big Breakfast, now different inside and out, but all of the same management and staff,

a hot chocolate for Diana a latte for myself,

our food arrived, the coffee was hot,

I had ordered a salmon sandwich,

Diana ordered a fruit waffle it was huge! the meal including coffee came to just under £20.00, but what a change when we came to pay the bill, the last time we were here it was cash, cash, cash, even though I saw the machine being used for a lady that could not easily manage the uphill walk to the cash machine, for everyone else it was cash only, now with the new name and business it was card, card, card! we made our way to the car park in town, picking up the shopping bags we had left in the car there, Diana went for our usual food shopping, I went to the bank, next the telephone repair shop, Diana had dropped one of her telephones and it would not switch on, 5 minuets later all was well, next stop the general store,

for a runner bean slicer, for some of the beans Steve and Kai had grown a brought round yesterday, we spent the rest of the day bibbiling around the flat,

for our evening meal Diana had bought some bass fillets, and with a selection of fresh vegetables again from Steve and Kai and some home made spicy sauce her meal was complete,

for myself filleted lamb with boiled new potatoes, coleslaw and of course sliced boiled runner beans, delicious!

'Cheers!', we listened to music until Midsomer Murder started, which we followed with one from both New Tricks and Silent Witness, then for us with the hope of better weather tomorrow, we were off to bed.
