What A Difference A Day Makes,

yesterday torrential rain,

today bright, brilliant sunshine,

not a cloud in the sky,

on my way to the accountants I called into the station, joy of joys it was open, so tickets purchased for the next 2 weeks to visit Duncan and tickets for our Sunday trip out,

I decided to walk into town past the tram link,

arriving at the cinema and war memorial,

looking at the queue I was glad I did not have to go to the bank!

a few weeks ago Steve and myself were chatting about bicycle thefts, looking at the prices of some of these secondhand bicycles I was amazed to see some of them in the thousands of pounds each, heaven knows how much some of the new ones must go for, meeting with the accountants over,

I walked to the shop and had a chat with Graham about next months special offers on the shops web page,

walking to the bus stop I noticed This 'N' That were open,

next stop Marks & Spencer's for some milk, strawberries and cream,

note to self, do not take a photograph of the church into the sun!

hopefully a bit more rain and the green will be green,

passing Foxgrove Lodge in the side garden,

a single dahlia was flowering,

and nice it looked too,

still not a cloud in the sky, what a glorious day,

in the evening a read and a sherry,

Diana had made herself hash corned beef with rice,

for myself a couple of slices of gammon ham,

'Cheers!',

for dessert, fresh strawberries and cream,

delicious, after which we watched some television,

rounding the evening off with Waterworld, the film was beset with problems, one of which was that the original director Kevin Reynolds, wasn't actually fired; he simply left the project before the final cut, leaving star/divo Kevin Costner to finish shooting and cutting, he told Entertainment Weekly: 'in the future Costner should only appear in pictures he directs himself, that way he can always be working with his favourite actor and favourite director,' ouch! after that we were off to bed.
