THIS unfortunate man will regret choosing this escape route while trying to flee cops,
Siyana Pasiwe, 32, was trying to get out of the grounds of a local museum after triggering the alarm.
He clambered up a tree, slipped and became impaled on the sharp steel fence surrounding the South African museum.
His screams alerted a passing driver who called the police.
Rod Botha, the museum's senior administration officer, said: "We are not sure whether he slipped or if he was trying to jump over ... but he ended up impaled on the fence."
Mr Botha said the fire department had to be called in to use angle grinders to cut the steel spike from the fence so that they could remove him.
Pasiwe was arrested and will appear in court as soon as he is fit enough to face trial.
Let's hope he is not the butt of too many jokes.
