Drew spent 15 minutes hauling in his catch at Earlswood reservoir near Solihull, West Mids, and was stunned to see an alligator snapping turtle the size of a bin lid.

Drew, 37, said: “I was glad when it went back in the water.” I have heard that these are called "mountain chicken" in the States, perhaps he should have cooked it! but in all seriousness I wonder about the havoc it will reap on the local fish stocks.
